R&D Software Engineer

Bio

I am working as an R&D Software Engineer at Leica Geosystems (part of Hexagon). In 2019, I finished my PhD studies in Computer Science in the research group of Prof. Dr. rer. nat. habil. Hans-Georg Beyer at the Vorarlberg University of Applied Sciences (FH Vorarlberg) in cooperation with the Ulm University (research group Theoretical Computer Science led by Prof. Dr. Uwe Schöning). My PhD work mainly concerned the theoretical and empirical design and analysis of evolution strategies applied to constrained optimization. Previously, I was a Software Engineer at Leica Geosystems focusing on Algorithm Development in the area of 3D Scanning (2014-2016). I completed my Bachelor's degree in Computer Science - Software and Information Engineering at FH Vorarlberg (2008-2011) and my Master's degree in Computer Science at ETH Zurich (2011-2014).
